If you haven't tried Nutella yet, I have NO CLUE what you are waiting for!!!

I found a recipe on the Nutella facebook page for Nutella Banana Empanadas and new that I HAD to try it...between myself, my boyfriend and my nephew...I could guarantee that this could become VERY popular.

I decided to use strawberries instead of bananas...because I love strawberries and they pair nicely with chocolate!

The recipe recommended serving them with cinnamon ice cream, but my boyfriend suggested sprinkling them with cinnamon sugar instead...so I did that too.

The picture above is them ready for the oven!!

And the end result...they are incredible! I didn't seal mine well enough, so most of them opened up, but that doesn't matter! They are soooooo good!!!!

HOT Tamale Cupcakes

Here it is!!! My HOT Tamale Cupcake!! This is what I think I'll be doing for the Cupcake Challenge. It was really good, but not as HOT as I'd like it to be!

These 'Hot Tamales - Fierce Cinnamon' were pretty darn hot on their own though!

There are a few ideas that I have to kick up the heat a little bit more, so we'll have to wait and see how it goes!

**If anyone has any suggestions for different candy to turn into a cupcake, let me know!! I'm still open to other options!

E&J Cupcakes

Last weekend I decided to make some cupcakes for BJ's birthday. He is definitely a fan of alcohol, so I figured why not make him some cupcakes with alcohol?!

So my E&J Cupcakes were then born!

These cupcakes have E&J Brandy in the cake batter, then I soaked each cupcake by pouring a little E&J on top of them after baking, while they were still warm. Then what kind of icing did I put on them? E&J Icing! Of course! =)

I ended up giving away all of the cupcakes and hadn't tried them until today! I stole one of BJ's cupcakes today and tried it...and I must say...for someone that doesn't drink much, they were pretty strong! Lol.

Cupcake Challenge

So, some of you may remember when I entered the Cupcake Challenge in 2011 with my French Martini Cupcake when the theme was 'Cupcake Cocktails'. I'm thinking about entering this year, but I haven't decided what to make yet. This years theme is The Candy Bar. The chocolate category is full, but there's still hard candy and chewy/non-chocolate open. I have a few different ideas that I'm going to have to test out quickly since the Cupcake Challenge is in 2 weeks!!

I will keep you all updated about my trials for the challenge and then I'll reveal that winner that I will enter with.

If anyone has any really good suggestions, please feel free to share and I will see if I can turn them into cupcakes!!
